Germany and Hitler

The Versailles Settlement angered the German people. It is because the settlement blamed Germany for World War I. Adolph Hitler took advantage of this anger and formed the political party called the Nazis. And this how the hatred against started. Hitler and the Nazis announced that the Jews should be blamed for Germany’s troubles. Hitler was a very powerful speaker and Leader so in the late 1920s, the German people started to accept his ideas and turned to Hitler. Germans than turned to Hitler as a leader with all the answers to their questions and problems.

Once Hitler came to power in 1933, He became the head of the German Government. He ended the Democratic  government and he also crushed all rivals and produced a totalitarian state. The Nazi Germany government had total control of Germany’s press (like newspapers and books), the schools and even religion! Like I said before, Hitler was VERY aganinst the Jews. They got their Civil Rights taken away, the Jews were forbiddon to use public facilities (Public bathrooms, water fountains, etc.) and also got fired from their careers. When the power of the Nazis grew, the attacks on Jewish people also grew. The government would gather up hundreds of Jews and put them in jail, consentration or camps. Hitler also thought of killing allthe Jews and called this plan the Final Solution.

During 1936, Hitler and Mussolini (the dictator of Italy) signed the Axis Pact. In 1938, Britain signed the Munich Pact which allowed Germany to keep Sutterland. This Pact is now seen as an Appeasment today. Only then in 1939, Germany invaded Poland. That made Britain and France to declare war on Germany. That resulted as the official start of WWII. Then in 1940, the British Royal Air Force was able to beat Hitler’s Lotwaffe in the Air Based battle of Britain. Also in 1940, France was taken over by Germany.
